John M. Caldwell, age 65, of Springfield, passed away on February 24, 2022. He was born in Dearborn, Michigan on May 5, 1956 to Ted and Shirley Cladwell.
He served his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a carpenter and mason, but he was also talented at painting. He loved watching football, his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the OSU Buckeyes. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He had a heart of gold and would help anybody in need that he crossed paths with.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Caldwell; his brother, Jeffrey Caldwell; and his brother-in-law, Randy Compton.
His memory will be cherished by his mother, Shirley Caldwell; son: John Caldwell-Mustang; sister, Julie Compton; sister, Susan (Gary) Bennett; his brother, Randy Caldwell; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his four favorite companions: Luke, Athena, Buddy, Lucy, and Mira.
A visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Newcomer North Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 4:00pm.
