John C. Mountain, Sr.
Age 80, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2008.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Virginia (nee: Martin); his mother & father and by eight brothers & sisters.
He is survived by his son, John Jr (Karen); and his daughter, Carolyn (Daniel) Dornbusch. He was grandfather to Kevin (Stephanie) Mountain and Kyle Mountain in St. Louis, MO; Andrew (Brandy) Coffey in Lynchburg, OH, and Michael Dornbusch in Franklin, OH; great grandfather to Ava & Jayden Coffey.
John served in the U. S. Army and was a route salesman for various bread and milk companies in Dayton for over 40 years.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home with interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Blanchester Care Center for their compassion and care for John during these past months.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of John to the Dayton Area Diabetes Association
