BUTCHER, John, age 61, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer, Thursday, March 18, 2010.
He enjoyed being with his family and friends, and loved the outdoors. He retired from General Motors after 38 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Linda; daughters, Lona, Stacy and Heather; grandchildren, Corey, Madeline and Ethan; sisters, Carol Wilcox of Kenton, Mary Lou Adams of Dunkirk; 2 step-brothers, Mike and Tim Barnett; step-mother, Joyce Butcher of Kenton and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, March 22 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 21 at the funeral home. If desired, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or American Cancer Society.
