John Howard Burns "P", age 65, of Beavercreek, passed away at home on December 13, 2023. John was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania on October 18, 1958 to the late Margaret Annabelle Burns.
John is preceded in death by his mother; wife of 40 years, Colleen; and his brothers, Richard Norman and James Sherwood Burns.
He is survived his by brother, Robert Eugene Prunty; sister, Lois Ann Burns; son, Michael Steven Lin; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
John worked at Sonoco Products and after many years he retired. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, watching football (Steelers) with his family and friends and spending time with his fur babies, Titan and Abigail Rose.
John was an Army Veteran and very proud of the country he served. He was rarely seen without his Steelers hat adorned with Army medals.
John had a big heart and never met a stranger. He always tried to help anyone in need. He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He was very caring and often made his famous stuffed peppers for his family of nurses at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Huber Heights. John loved life and lived life to the fullest over the past six months since losing his wife Colleen. If John were here right now, his words to us would be "Shit Happens"!
