John R. Broadstock Sr.

John R. Broadstock, Sr., age 86 of Huber Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 9, 1931 in Greenville, Ohio to Horace and Grace (Suma) Broadstock. John married Mary (Smith) Frazer on August 30, 1975 in Dayton, OH.

John admirably served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force followed by a second career as a civilian at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He loved to play cards, especially Pinochle, enjoyed mushroom and small game hunting and square dancing with his wife Mary. John had a love for his large extended family and will be greatly missed by all.

John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Mary; daughter and son in law, Debra and Ron Dodson; a son and daughter in law, Carl and Pam Broadstock; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clarence, Addie, Donald and Jesse Broadstock; his wife Elizabeth (Harris) Broadstock and a son, John Broadstock, Jr.

Funeral Service will be held on December 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow with military honors at Bellbrook Cemetery.
