John Botts

John Michael Botts, 72, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. He was born March 21, 1950 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Robert and Dorothy (Kelly) Botts. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was deeply devoted to his family. He and his wife enjoyed building their life and family together, which included raising two children. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, son, and a wonderful papaw. He had the biggest joy for giving at Christmas and seeing the smiles he brought to his family's faces, especially his grandchildren. He had a big heart for animals, was a devoted employee to R+L Carriers for 41 years and many remember him for always being a helpful and caring person.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Gilbert Botts and Mark Joseph Botts.

John is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 53 years, Shirley Botts; children, Bryan Botts and Beth (Joseph) Mazzucco; grandchildren, Vincent Joseph Mazzucco and Jack Michael Mazzucco; honorary family member, Julie Konrad; and many other extended family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held Friday, January 20th, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459). A Funeral Ceremony will follow beginning at 12:00pm, with Pastor Brian Morris officiating. His final resting place will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, where Military Honors will be conducted for his honorable service.
