BISH, John R. "Jack"
Age 73, passed away July 7, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 21, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late, Glenn and Edith Bish.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary; stubborn but devoted daughter, Suzanne; wonderful son-in-law, Bryan; the joys of his life, grandchildren, Charles Alexander and Seraphina Simone; brother, James Bish; and many other caring family members and friends, including unlikely angels, Sherman Shultz and Ron Bird.
Jack lived a big, full life. He enjoyed spending time with young people in Dayton and helping, laughing, and learning from them.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Blvd, Dayton, OH 45406.
In lieu of flowers, please spend time with a kid or neighbor who could use a hand.
