BALLMAN, John, of Beavercreek, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 on his 92nd birthday.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jack Miller and his parents, Gabriel and Viola Ballmann.
John is survived by his wife, Christina (Dix) Ballman; children, Kristy (Ed) Detmer, Vicki (Ed) Rhea, Jeff (Mary Ellen) Ballman, Pam Dalton and Debbie (Dave Hickey) Miller; grandchildren, Tony, Stephanie, Steve, B.J., Tanya, Brian, Kelly, Andrea, Lee, Valerie and Kimberly, as well as 17 great grandchildren.
John was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He also retired from Delco Moraine after 42 years of service. He was an avid gardener, wine maker, Reds and Bengals fan.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with memorial services following at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Dayton Veteran's Administration.
