John C. Ankeney, Jr.

John C. Ankeney, Jr., age 79, of Beavercreek, passed away on September 3, 2023. He was born in Xenia, Ohio, on September 12, 1943, the son of the late John and Beryl Ankeney, Sr.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ankeney; children, John (Leighann) Ankeney, Shane (Rebecca) Ankeney, Marty (Melissa) Maurer, Marcy (Dennis) Wright and Matt (Cindy) Maurer; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Nelle (Gary) Wical and Rick (Christine) Ankeney; and his cat, Bootsie.
John was the former Executive Director of the BSA (Beavercreek Soccer Association). He was also the Founder of the John C. Ankeney Soccer Complex. John was highly decorated with numerous awards and accolades for the work he did within the soccer community. The number of lives he touched throughout his tenure with the soccer complex is immeasurable. In his free time, he enjoyed mowing the grass at the soccer complex, traveling and spending time with his family.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 10:00am, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Burial will be held privately with the family.
