ANDERSON, John "Russ" Russell
age 85, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2006. He was born January 6, 1921 in Dayton, OH to Ethel and Walter Van Anderson. Russ was a WWII veteran, a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge, the Tawasi Club and the Quiet Birdmen. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Cyle Anderson, and brothers, Cyle and Robert. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Billie, brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Ethel Anderson, daughters and sons-in-law, Nikke and Loren Jenkinson, Karen and Mike Everhart, Christie and Brian Kirchmer, daughter-in-law, Vicki Anderson, special niece and nephew, Billie Ann and Daniel Zappone, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.NewcomerFamily.com.
