Gibson, Joen Lee, age 85, of Kettering, passed away April 5, 2018.
She was born September 29, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Dorothy (Tate) Carpenter. Growing up during the depression made her a very strong, independent woman which was proven through her sole ownership of Athena Bridal for over 30 years.
Joen was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her 2 children, Gayle Ames, Jeffrey Gibson; 3 grandsons, Zachary Ames, Zachary Gibson Dylan Ames and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Joen's Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Newcomer, South Chapel 3940 Kettering Blvd.
