Joe R. Ford "Bob", age 83 of Kettering, passed away December 6, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1934 in Friendsville, TN to the late Joe Ford and Georgia (Purky) Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Sandi Ford; children, Karen Sue Ford, Pamela Joyce (Kenneth) Spader, Sherri Kay (Mark) Jarvis, James Kenneth Ford, Robert Wayne Ford, Joe Alvin Ford and Christina Lynn (Scottland) Baker; grandchildren, James Anthony (Amy) Ford, Vincent Michael (Mandy) Spader, Lindsey Blair Ford, Kimberly Nicole (Chet) Puteck, Sandra Sue (Steven) Simpson, Damien Jose Ford, Michelle Kay (Chase) Stover, Travis Joe Ford, Dana Lynn Hughes, Alexandria Gabrielle Ford, Quentin Lee Baker, Vanessa Elizabeth Ford, Chloe Lynn Baker and Colton Lee Ford; great-grandchildren, Makayla Louise Johnson, Cheyanna Rose Ford, Desiree Neveah Ford, Destiny Sky Ford, Mackenzie Faye Puteck, Aliya Faith Allen, Jacob Spader Puteck and Cross Emanuel Stover; dear friends, Larry C. and Becky R. Rike and many other numerous extended family and friends.
Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a good mechanic and fabricator/welder. Bob lived all over the country at one time or another but resided in Dayton, OH for more than half his life. He enjoyed owning Cadillac's and playing with his cats, Jazzy and Buddy.
Family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 3 PM.
