Joe Loyd Dyer

Joe Dyer, age 87, of Dayton passed away on August 17, 2023. He was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee on March 6, 1936 to the late Delora Webb. In addition to his mother, Joe is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Carroll and sister, Dorothy Jean Dyer.
Joe is survived by grandson, Gregory Roush; cousins, Tonia McCurdy, Todd McCurdy, Tommie McCurdy, Stephen Webb, Duane Webb, Marcus Webb, Michael Webb, Walter Robinson; special friends, Rosemay Lewis, Zulie Rios; along with many other family and friends.
Joe was raised by his grandparents, George and Lena Webb. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1954 and enlisted into the Air Force. He retired from the military after 26 years of service. Upon his retirement, he entered into a civil service position at Wright Patterson AFB. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and traveling. Joe was a hard working man and will be missed by all who loved him.
A graveside service will be begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third Street. Pastor Joe Getts to officiate.
