Joe Drummond

Joe L. Drummond of Greenville, S.C. was called home to be with the Lord on 24 Dec 09. Joe served in the Vietnam war, and retired from the Air Force in 1979, after 23 years of dedicated service. He was awarded numerous medals and honors, among them, the Republic of Vietnam campaign medal and the Bronze star. Proceeding him in death was his father, Mr. Larry Drummond and his Mother, Mrs. Eulately Drummond of Washington, DC and Mr. Billy Drummond, of Lexington, SC. Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Myrtle Drummond who resides in Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving him are four sons and two daughters and a son-in-law: Joey Drummond, of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin Drummond Sr. of Anniston, AL, Jerry Drummond of Kennesaw, GA, Master Gunnery Sergeant Eric Drummond of Beaufort, SC, Deborah Drummond of Lexington, SC and Phyllis Noble (Maj, Ret, USAF) and son-in-law, Eugene Noble of Beavercreek, OH. Also surviving Mr. Drummond is his sister, Ms. Lucille
Martin, his nephew Kenneth Martin and his wife Anne, all of Washington, DC, as well as, his half brother, Mr. David Young of Spartanburg, SC. He is also survived by 17 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek, Ohio.
