Joe Denton

DENTON, Joe C., 83, of Riverside passed away Sunday October 4, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents Barlow and Flossie Denton; wife Ruby Denton; daughter Glenda Jo Denton; siblings Eck, Red, Willard, Herman, and Stella Denton . Joe is survived by his children Betty (Tom) Hall and Michael (Kati) Denton; grandchildren Tommy (Mandy) Hall, Kenny (Laura) Hall, Terry (Julia) Hall, Jessica Wies, and Amanda (Josh) Lawson; great grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Jordan, Clara, Allie, Austin, Tristin, and Malachi; sisters Lassie, Maggie, and Arlin; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He was a decorated veteran in the U.S Army with service in WWII. He was a Riverside Constable, participant in Box 21, member of VFW Post #657, and member of Masonic Lodge in Dayton. A graveside service will be held 10:00AM Thursday October 8, 2009 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W Third St. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM Wednesday October 7, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy, Hospice of Dayton, or local VFW.
