Joe Darrel Pennington, age 78, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born July 15, 1937 in Paintsville, Kentucky.
He worked the family Aluminum Siding Business for many years.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Pennington; mother, Alice Pennington; son, Greg Pennington; daughter, Sheila Pennington; sister, Billie Howard; brothers, Paul B. Pennington and Harold D. Pennington; step-mother, Clara Pennington; step-brother, Raymond Blair and step-sister, Kay Shultz.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; two sons, Dwon (Jessica) Pennington and Darrell Pennington; daughter, Robin Pennington; three brothers, Jack E., Tommy and Kieth Pennington; three sisters, Betty Lemaster, Sue Conley and Mary Tackett; five grandchildren, John, Chelsea, Dalton, Dekon and Aubree Pennington; great-granddaughter, Leticia Carrillo and step-sisters, Fay Price and Janet Stapleton.
He is also survived by numerous family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2015 at State Road Fork United Baptist Church, Falcon, KY. Burial will follow in the Pennington Family Cemetery.
