Joe D. Hyden: Our hearts are breaking and rejoicing at the same time, Joe Hyden of Springfield, age 62 went to be with the Lord May 17, 2013. He was born in Seymour, IN to the late Lorene and Paul Hyden.
He was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, best friend, poppa, father-in-law, and soul-mate. Our loss is great and our hearts our saddened, But we rejoice that Joe has gone to his reward in Heaven to join his mother, father, brother, Paul "Butch" Hyden; mother-in-law, Marda Storms; best friend, Bob Dennett; and many other friends and relatives.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda; daughter Nichole (Brad); son Zach (Jackie); grandson, Beck; and many other brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and an immeasurable amount of family, friends, and students whose lives he has touched.
The family would like to thank the Enon Emergency Response Team and all the nurses, respiratory technicians, and skilled surgeons and doctors at Springfield Regional.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He lived life to the fullest every single day and viewed life as a gift, "every day's a holiday," as he would say.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to the Wounded Warrior Project and Children's Rescue Center.
