Age 74, of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
Joe was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Lee Lightner; two former wives; and by one sister, Marilyn Kissinger.
Joe is survived by one son, Joe Mathew Pequignot & his partner Dana Harris-Gonsales; three daughters, Peggy Lightner, Ruthie Coppersmith & Cinda Kratzer; grandchildren, Ivy, Steve, Richard, Jimmy, Caleb & Karen; great grandchildren; two brothers, James & Gene (Dee) Pequignot; and by his extended family & many good friends, including those at the Cape Lounge and the Eagles.
Joe was a U. S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict; he loved sports, women and beer. He worked for many years as an accountant at the American Lubricants Company.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
Contributions may be made in memory of Joe to the Dayton VA Hospital – Hospice Unit.
