Jodi Lawson-Sibert
Age 44, of Kettering OH, died too young on Feb. 10, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital. Jodi was born on Feb. 5, 1971 in Lansing, MI, to Vernon and Sandra Karsten, both deceased. She was passionately dedicated to her faith and family as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Sibert and their blended family of six girls; her daughters Courtney (age 22), Brooklyn (age 15), and Julianne (age 14) whose father, Gary Lawson, died unexpectedly in June 2011 at age 40, and Mike's daughters Ty (age 18), Kristin (age 17), and Karolena (age 13). Jodi is also survived by her two older sisters Kelle (Scott) Fraser of Springboro, OH and Allison (Jay) Rose of Kansas City, MS and many other family members.
Jodi loved being a mother and a wife more than anything. She was also a compassionate and dedicated registered nurse who adored working with "kiddo's" and their families most of all. Jodi also thrived on the unpredictability and fast-pace environment of the Emergency department. With a generous heart and forgiving nature, Jodi left an unforgettable impression on all she met. Her familiar and beautiful smile will be missed.
Jodi's family invites you to join them in honoring her life at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439 with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org/donate).
