Joanne Marie Warden

Joanne Marie Warden, age 85, of Dayton, passed away August 8, 2022. She was born June 21, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary Burden. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne "Brick" Warden; son, Greg Warden; and sister, Gerri Buchanan.

Joanne is survived by her children: Jenny Gibbs, Tony Warden, Chris Warden (Rena) and Joe Warden (Angie); grandchildren: Nikki Klein (Jason), Billy Gibbs, Joey Gibbs (Stephanie), Rebecca Warden Wiley (Shelly), Daniel Warden (Jamie), Amanda Warden and Emmalee Cartwright (Kyle); great-grandchildren: Kainin, Kaylee and Chloe Klein, Wyatt Gibbs, Kaylee Warden, Owen, Peyton and Lydia Warden, Shiloh Halcomb and Daisy Cartwright; nephews: Mike Tate (Barbara) and Robbie Tate; and many other loving family members and friends.

Joanne was a member of Northridge United Baptist Church. She retired from Standard Register and worked for Northridge Public Schools in the cafeteria, where everyone fondly called her grandma. Joanne enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
