Joanne Riffle

RIFFLE, Joanne, 59, passed away unexpectedly at home November 5, 2007. She joins her beloved husband, William, of 29 years, who passed away May 2000. Joanne was born on December 8, 1947 in Johnstown, PA. Joanne obtained her nursing degree and married her sweetheart Bill. She was a dedicated United States Air Force spouse during Bill's 20 years of service, traveling around the world and United States. Joanne and Bill settled in Dayton, OH, where they raised their beloved daughters, Heidi Lynn Riffle and Dawn Marie Biggs. In her final years, Joanne worked for Dayton Public Schools. Joanne will be remembered for the things that are most dear to her- her family, friends, kitties and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She will be especially missed and loved forever by her cherished daughters and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Heidi and Dawn and her husband Walter H. Biggs and their children Maria and Walter W., her Aunt Judy Calaboyias (husband Bill) , brothers James Andolina (wife Gisele) and Michael Andolina, Father Henry Riffle and Dorothy Schirf (husband Kenneth) and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William, her parents, James and Katherine Andolina, and sister, Barbara Kay Andolina. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday November 9, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or SICSA-Society For the Improvement of Conditions For Stray Animals.
