Joann Yorgen

JoAnn Yorgen, 82, of Riverside, passed away May 22, 2016. JoAnn was born in LaGrange, GA on August 9, 1933 and moved to Ohio in 1956. She was a loving wife of 60 years to William Yorgen, Sr. She is survived by her husband and children; William Jr (Connie) Yorgen, Ken Yorgen, Cynthia (George) Koepplinger, Melissa (Neil) Kulow, Daphne (Thomas) Reilly. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

JoAnn was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an emergency room nurse at Miami Valley Hospital for over twenty years. After her retirement, JoAnn volunteered in the emergency room caring for patients and was selected to the MVH Wall of Excellence in 2013. JoAnn was an active and longtime member of St Matthew's Lutheran Church in Huber Heights and was a voracious reader, an avid gardener and lover of dogs.

A celebration of Life will be held at St Mathew's Lutheran Church, 5566 Chambersburg Rd, Huber Heights. The family will receive friends between 4PM and 6PM Friday, May 27th followed by a Eucharistic Service at 6PM with Pastor Kelly Reagan and Pastor Melvin Younger officiating.
