She is survived by her 3 children, Leotis (Lisa) Willis, Kelvin Willis, Angela (Jetaimee) Reese; 5 grandchildren, DeLaquan J. Willis, Deonte J. Willis, Jahniesa A. Shafeek, Shaniesa M. Shafeek, Janiya R. Reese; 1 great-granddaughter, Ja'Leisa K. Willis; siblings, Brenda(Michael) Suber, Cynthia Richardson, Artie Mills, Maria Mills, and many nieces and nephews , Michael Suber, Kelly Suber, Anthony Richardson, Ashley Richardson, Nicole McGee, Keith Mills, DeAngelo Mills, Andre Mills, Tasha Roberts, Tiffany Goins, Bryant Mills, Scotty Mills, Paris Mills, Tempest Mills, and many other relatives and friends

JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother, Luetta Mills and father, Joe Mills, sisters, Serena Mills, Patricia Mills, and brother, Scotty Mills.
JoAnn was a true friend to all the people she came in contact with. She was willing to listen and help others in any way she could. She was also considered the community's matriarch because of her caring heart that brought out the best in everyone.
