JoAnn Hicks , 55, of Fairborn, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born October 20, 1958 in Radford, Virginia, the daughter of the late William and Betty Burress.
JoAnn attended Fairborn High School. She was an avid collector, loved working with children and was known for her big heart and kindness toward others.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Pearl Burress and brother, Thomas Burress.
JoAnn is survived by her boyfriend, Gadford W. Robinson of Fairborn; adopted daughter, Amber (Mark) Applegate; sister, Betty Jean (John) Purdue; brother, William Robert Burress; uncle, Carl Radford; nieces, nephews, including Jessica and Robert Burress, John Havens, William Havens, Angel Havens; cousins and many good friends.
A visitation will be held from 12 -1 PM, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio where funeral services will begin at l PM Tuesday.
Burial in New Carlisle Cemetery.
