Bannister, Joan Y., age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of over 58 years: David; son and daughter-in-law: Bob (Sherry) Bannister; sister: Mary Lou Gordon; nieces: Gwen Miller & Ann Carpenter; nephew: Steve Gordon; and several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Hubert & Agnes Wachtel; brother: Robert Wachtel; and brother-in-law: Gerald Gordon.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Joan.
