Joan Peterson

Joan Carruba Peterson, age 71 of Huber Heights, passed away January 5, 2011. She was born August 30, 1939 in Dione, KY to the late Rosario and Myrtle Carruba. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her children: Billy Lynn Peterson and Jennifer and Joanne Peterson.

Joan is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Peterson; daughter, Kimberly McCullough; son and daughter-in-law: David and Katherine Peterson; 3 grandchildren: Kirsten Benedick, Kristina Benedick and Justin Peterson; and 2 great grandchildren: Jordan Blankenship and Kaydence Darden. Joan attended Vandalia Christian Tabernacle Church.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Evarts Funeral Home, Evarts, KY. A visitation will be held at Evarts Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service. Burial will take place in her family cemetery, Cornett Cemetery, Dione, KY.
