Age 74, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at her home after an extended illness. Joan is survived by her husband of the past 47 years, Paul E. Berger; two daughters, Cindy Berger & her fiancé, Ulrich Rose and Kim & her husband, Jeff Millner and their children, Rachel & Jake Millner; one sister, Dorothy & her husband, Ronald Wieholter; numerous nieces & nephews; and by her cats, B.J. and Snickers. Joan was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church; treasurer of the Belmont-Patterson Chapter of AARP, involved with the Dayton Cat Club and active with her 1950 Patterson Co-op Class Reunion Committee. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Joan to the Humane Society, 10th life or SICSA.
