Joan Konicki

Konicki, Joan, age 80, of West Carrollton, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Joan retired as the manager of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center gift shop, where she worked for over 15 years. Joan recently celebrated her 80th birthday surrounded by her family and friends. She was loved and will be remembered fondly.

Joan is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Claudia (Don) Davis of West Carrollton, Leah Konicki of Oakwood; son and daughter-in-law: Eric (Amy) Konicki of Cleveland; grandchildren: Veronica, Brian, Justine, Elliot, Katie; great grandson: Noah; brothers: David Johnston of Dayton, Eugene Johnston Jr. of Seattle, Ivan Johnston of Florida; sister: Virginia Safford of New York; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul; parents: Eugene B. & Emma (Rowland) Johnston; brothers: Tom, Rowland, and her baby brother Ned Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, envelopes will be provided.
