Joan E. Klopf

Joan E. Klopf, age 70, of Dayton, passed away on November 29, 2023. She was born on December 7, 1952 to the late Mary E. and Melvin J. Cockerham Sr. She retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 30 years, where she worked on the B-2 Bomber projects. Joan enjoyed dancing and was always moving if there was music playing, especially Bruno Mars.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Klopf; by her sister-in-law, Diana Kay Cockerham; by her Uncle Marty (Ida) May and Aunt Dottie (Bill) Moravec; and by Grandma May.

She will be remembered by her brother, Melvin "Buddy" Cockerham; her niece, Jessica (Doug) Riddle; grand-nephews: Lucas & Logan; her cousins, Linda Bryan and Kim (Bob) Croft; her faithful companion, Ava; and many more great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. Joan and Jerry will be laid to rest together at 12:30pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Dayton.
