Joan Johnston

JOHNSTON, Joan, 71, of Dayton passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at home with her family at her side. Joan was born on August 8, 1948 to Wade and Mable (Hall) Hannah who preceded her in death.

Joan leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter Danielle (Charles) Simmons, 2 grandsons James P. Hannah, Shawn M. Hannah; daughter Trish A. Maddux, two sons Ronald A. Johnston, James S. Hannah. Also surviving are three brothers Wade (Charlotte) Hannah, David Hannah, Michael (Judy) Hannah; grandchildren Caleb, Holden, Precious, Kalyn, Josh, Benjamin, Adin, Kadin numerous great and great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joan was the glue that held her family together.

There will be a gathering of family and friends Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Dayton North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, starting at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of Joan's life at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in West Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her family to assist with funeral services.
