Joan Hersman

HERSMAN, Joan S., 83, of Kettering passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community Center. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Rogers; parents Joseph and Frederica; brothers Bill and Paul Reynolds; sisters Rosalie Harvey, Aileen and Lorna Reynolds; son-in-law Daniel Hemingway; and great grandson Zachary. Joan is survived by her son Bob (Diana) Hersman; daughters Susan Gray, Kathleen Hemingway, Chris (Bill) Ebright, Rose Kane, and Diane (Mark) Osman;17 grandchildren;11 great grandchildren; sisters Mary (Gerry) Grant, Pat Hoffman, and Kathleen Compton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Maxine and Ray Conley; niece, Judy (Jerry) Drodge; nephew Ken (Dani) Conley; numerous other nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Otterbein and Crossroads Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM Monday, May 14, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow services at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens.
