Joan Jeanette Haas
October 8, 1931 — January 24, 2019
Joan Jeanette Haas of Dayton, Ohio passed peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2019.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years Richard Haas, also of Dayton, Ohio. They were high school sweet hearts graduating from St Joseph and Chaminade High School, respectively in 1949.
Joan was an accomplished seamstress having learned to sew from her grandfather tailor as a young child. Many beautiful brides walked down the aisle wearing an original she had created.
She is survived by her five children, James, Deborah, Ginger, John and David and her 11 grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at 10:30 AM at St Henry's Catholic Church, 6696 N. Springboro Pike, on Tuesday, January 29th with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. Joan will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery alongside Richard.
