Joan Darby Aydelotte

AYDELOTTE, Joan Darby, age 84, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Esther Darby; brother, Tom Darby; sisters, Doris Conover, and Martha Armstrong. Joan is survived by her children, Lisa (Pat) Sullivan, Lynn (Andy) Evans, and Amy Newland; grandchildren, Chad Wilson, Erin and Ryan Sullivan, Tyler and Cody Evans; sisters, Mary "Tiny" Miller and Nancy Dishon, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joan retired from the aeronautical division of General Electric in 1986. She enjoyed gardening, big band music, and dancing. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, and nana, whom will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marshall House or the Alzheimer's Association.
