BALL, Joan, age eternal, of Kettering, OH went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
She is preceded in death by husband William Bachmann II, parents Russell and Lauretta Woodward, and sister Myrna Lamb. Joan is survived by her present husband Doug Ball; sons William Bachmann III and Gary Bachmann (Michelle); daughters Nancy Madewell and Carol Bachmann; grandchildren Brooke Kanasz (Alex), Matt Madewell, Syndi Bachmann and Hunter Bachmann; three stepchildren David (Mary) Ball, Steve (Dawn) Ball, and Diane Marsh; stepgrandchildren Nick, Joey, Senora, Isabella, and Brandon; nieces and nephews from Buffalo, NY: Russ, Kathy, Karen, John, and Pat; nieces and nephews from Cincinnati: Dennis, Joy, Chris, and Julie; special friends Carolyn, Lisa, Sally, Kathy, and Cindy.
Joan would like to thank all those who helped make her comfortable in her final days-particularly The Hospice of Dayton Nurses (too many to name).
She was an Oncology RN for 17 years at St Elizabeth Hospital. She was also a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Kettering, Parents without Partners, where she met her husband, Doug, and Women of the Moose in Miamisburg.
Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 Friday, March 25, 2011 at St George's Church, 5520 Far Hills Ave, service to follow conducted by Reverend Ben Phillips, and burial afterwards at David's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please help support The Hospice of Dayton's excellent comfort care or another charity of your choice.
