In loving memory of Joan Blanche (Humphrey) Dodds, who was born March 1, 1939 and left us on July 25, 2022.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Randy Dodds. She was also a caring mother to 8 children: Sheryl (Jeff) Paxton, Bonnie Willis, Karen (Leroy) Rankin, Edward (Patty) Hardy, Pamela (Dave) Rothrock, Daniel (Naomia) Hardy, Robert Hardy, and Lori (Craig) Luebben; step-daughter, Rae Anne Wilson; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda (Mike) Kuzka, who lives in Medina, OH and was by her side the morning of her passing.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Nellie Humphrey; brother, Robert Humphrey; and sister, Gwen Jones.
Joan was born in Dayton, Ohio, where she spent most of her life. She was a 1957 graduate of Kiser High School, and kept in touch with a few of her high school friends.
Joan was an animal lover who has had dogs, cats, a ferret, fish and even three snakes. She has lived a very happy, full life and will be remembered with love by many.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 1-2pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.
At 2pm we will process to Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery where a graveside service will be held.
