JoAnn (Tays) Leonard, 80 of Huber Heights, passed away on January 06,2021 due to complications from COVID-19.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, General & Maggie Tays, her brother, James Kenneth Tays, her son James R. Smith Jr., and her beloved dog, Sidney.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Leonard, her children, Beverly Galloway, Jeffrey Leonard, Donna Leiter, Debbie Leonard, and Peggy Smith, her sister-in-law Betty Tays, and nieces, Tracie Tays, and Kristi Buckler. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson, Gabe & many other loving family members.
Family will receive friends for a walk through visitation Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The funeral services and burial will be private for family only. Burial Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask mandate with masks required in all public places.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to COVID-19 Relief or your favorite charity on her behalf.
