Jimmy R. White, Sr., 84, of Fairborn, passed away June 6, 2017. Jimmy was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on July 21, 1932 to the late Guern and Beulah White. Jimmy retired from Wright Patt Air Force Base after 32 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, darts, watching the 49ers, storytelling, Cadillacs and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 20 years, Margaret White; and brothers, Roy, Lynn, Leon; sister, Rose Marie; and great granddaughter, Brooke.
He is survived by son, Jim (Patty) White, Jr.; daughters, Jodie White, Jeri (Jim) Layer; grandchildren, Jessica Cushwa, Becky (Mike) Amato, Tim Myers, Casey Layer; great grandchildren, Braxton, Colin, Sydney, Ava; brothers, Chuck White, Bob White; sisters, Julie, Louise; and several other relatives and special friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn. Memorial donations can be made, in his name, to St. Jude's Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer - Beavercreek Chapel.
