Jimmy R. Pennington, age 88 of New Carlisle, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on November 25, 2018. He was born May 30, 1930 in Harlan, KY to the late Bradley and Phronia (Browning) Pennington. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, Bradford Alan Pennington.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Freeman) Pennington; son, James F. "Chuck" Pennington; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 8870 OH-571, New Carlisle, OH 45344 where a funeral service will begin at 6 PM with Pastor Jeff Christmas officiating.
Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery, 3000 St. Hwy 840, Baxter, KY 40806 at approximately 2 PM on Friday, November 30, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to The Children's Department, First Baptist Church, 8870 OH-571, New Carlisle, OH 45344, in Jimmy's memory.
