Jimmy Maxwell

Jimmy P. Maxwell, age 65 of Huber Heights, passed away October 17, 2011. He was born on October 23, 1945 in Lake Charles, LA to the late Paul and Virginia Cleo Maxwell.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Alleda Maxwell; children: Melissa (Roy) Shutts, Tom Maxwell, Michael Dameron and Lori Hawkes; grandchildren: Jesse, Justin, Chase, Keegan, Mikey, Ayla and Kyra; great grandchildren: Hayden and Bree; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jimmy was a wonderful and much loved husband, father and grandfather. He had many interests and a vast knowledge of books, history, culture, and the world that he shared with his family and friends. Jimmy and his wife, Alleda, had many adventures and traveled extensively making many memories that she will treasure forever. Jimmy attended The Ohio State University with a 5 year degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Most of his professional career was with computers. He was a Project Manager with NCI at WPAFB when diagnosed with cancer in 2010. Jimmy was also a skilled builder, draftsman and gardener. He was an avid reader and historian. He was warm, loving, generous, witty, and a caring man who will be missed so much.

Per his request, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be a family Celebration of Life at his home. His remains will be scattered in the Gulf off Destin, FL, a place he loved. As an example of his wit and love of travel, he said, "If you spread my ashes in Destin in the morning, I'll be in South America by evening." In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jimmy's memory to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
