"Jimmy Big Muffler Man"
A kind, courageous, and strong willed man who never once complained, lost his fight with the fifth cancer after a long and painful struggle at the age of 62. He passed away March 12, 2015 at the Hospice of Dayton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Maggie Melton, Sr.; and brother, Danny K. Melton.
He is survived by his fiancé, companion, and love of his life, Jane Nordyke; siblings, Kenneth Melton Jr., Connie Melton, and Cheryl Fultz; dear friends, Rick and Diane Parrish and family, Randy and Antonette Burdette and family, and Kurt Fecke and family; step-children, Mary (Joe) Disantis and family and Ronald (Missie) Nordyke and family; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was a former employee at Big Muffler on E. Third St. in Dayton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
