Jimmy R. Dyer, age 76 of Dayton, passed away October 31, 2012. He was born November 16, 1935 in Haldeman, KY to the late Bernie Dyer and Ruie Pigman. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Everett Clark; sisters, Vivian Ison and Marie Blundell.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Dyer; children: James (Leeing) Dyer, Rita (Dan) Click and Debra Ashmore; grandchildren: Jesse (Rachel), Nathan (Allie), Heather (Lundan), Aaron, Jacob and David (Amanda); great grandchildren: Jasper, Nicolas and Jackson; sisters: Lillian, Betty, Louise and Nancy; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Jimmy retired as a head truck mechanic after 32 years of service from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a God fearing man who was very helpful and compassionate. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and was a handyman who could fix anything.
