HOLLEN, JIMMIE

79 of Miami Township, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2004 at his home. Jimmie was born December 17, 1924, the son of Stephen and Myrtle Hollen. He was a decorated United States Navy Seabees, World War II veteran. Jimmie was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the United Baptist Church, Miamisburg. He also served as Deacon in his church. Jimmie was a wonderful husband, and loving father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Olivia Hollen; sons, Stephen Hollen and Michael E. Hollen, Sr.; sister, Bessie Box; brother, Bert Hollen; grandchildren, Eddie, Matt, Kelly, Mark and Morgan; great grandchildren, Catlin and Kyle. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Rosie, Effie and Maudie. Family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with interment following in Forest Hill Memorial Gardens. Rev. Elmo Johnson will officiate.
