Jim Macik, age 58 of Dayton, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Grandview Hospital. He was born February 25, 1959 in Petaluma, California the son to the late John and Janet Macik.
Jim attended Wayne H.S. in Huber Heights and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Antioch College. He worked for O'Neil and Associates for 25 years and most recently Camber in Detroit, MI. Jim also owned his own construction company called Renovations Technology Inc. which he started in the mid 1990's. He was also a long time member of the Ohio Troy Fish & Game Club.
Jim enjoyed building things and working with his hands. He loved animals, riding his motorcycle, going to festivals and listening to music. He liked to fish and watch football, especially the Bengals. Jim loved taking care of people and spending time with his family who will dearly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Drake Tompkins and brother, Jason Macik.
Jim will be missed by his wife, Deborah; children, Josh (Michelle) Zehnder, Jamie (Melyssa) Macik, Nikki Macik, Cassandra Macik and Jaxon Macik; grandchildren, Lucy, Jaden, Nyilah; twins, Ryan and Demi, Soleil and Sam; brother, John (Paula) Macik; sister, Julia (Steve) Valerma and nephews, Tyler and Chandler Macik.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd.
