Jim "Foster" Brown, age 79, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011.
Jim was born May 15, 1932 in Walnut Grove, KY to the late James Bradford & Mattie Marie Brown.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, during the Korean Conflict.
Jim was an active member of the American Legion Post 165, VFW Post 3809, and the Masonic Lodge (Minerva) 0098.
He retired after 30 years from General Motors (Harrison Radiator Division).
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Hollis Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Brown; children, Danny Brown, Susie Johnson, Debbie Snow, and Crissie Williams; grandchildren, Danielle, Josh, Jennifer, Kelle, and Darcy; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Hailey, Kaylynne, Jade, and Gavin; brother, Jack (Karen) Brown; sisters, Marie Williams and Irene King; brother-in-law, Johnny Salley; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place at Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens.
