Jill Denise Underwood, age 62 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home. Jill went to be with the Lord and reunited with her baby girl Jenna on October 24, 2020. She was born October 21, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Forrest Underwood and Peggy Voiles.
Jill found her pleasure and joy in life taking care of those around her that meant the most. She loved nothing more than spending her time being a dedicated mother, grandmother, and nursing assistant. Through perseverance she was able to complete respiratory therapy school in 2010. Jill's favorite past times included watching vintage Tv shows, especially Gun Smoke, MASH, and completing word searches. Jill is loved by many and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Goney; daughter, Jenna Goney; and sisters, Pamela Heyob, Sheryl Hickey, and Beverly Hale.
Jill is survived by her children, Bryan Goney (Cortney), Denise Goney, Jessica (Rob) Goney, and Robert "Bobby" (Trisha) Goney; grandchildren, Brandon, Cameryn, Brayden, Brooklyn, Braxton, Layla, Gracie, and Carter; great granddaughter, Atarah; sister, Darlene Boaz ; long time companion, Dean Shouse; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Dayton for the love and care that they showed Jill and her family in her final days.
Jill will be laid to rest at Pines Pets Cemetery in Lebanon, Ohio with her beloved dog, Chesney at a later date.
