Jessie M. Walker, age 71, of Dayton, Ohio passed away November 15th at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born March 6, 1949 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of Ester L. King. She was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1967.
Jessie loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed music, reading, shopping, and studying her Bible. She was a dedicated US Postal employee for 42 years, until her retirement in 2009.
Jessie was preceded in death by her mother, Ester L. King, beloved husband of 31 years, Robert E. Walker Sr., granddaughter, Marquita Brown, and grandson, Brandon Michael-Scott Norman, whom she affectionately called "Scottie".
Jessie to leaves to cherish her memory her children Alicia (Vincent) Jordan, Robert E. Walker Jr. Shearon Jackson, Ann Harris, Corenthia Burton, and Valeishia (Teron) Walker-James and a special granddaughter, Jesilyn (Blake) Hoyle, who she raised as her own. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, special cousin, Lenora Meeks, as well as many other cousins, family, and friends.
Memorial Services will be held December 5, 2020 at 3pm at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, Beavercreek Chapel. 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of Dayton, and Germantown Pike Church of Christ.
