Jesse Kenneth Jones, Jr.

Jesse Kenneth Jones, Jr., born on June 19, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on April 23, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio. He leaves behind a legacy rich in humor and warmth, characterized by his great sense of humor, love for storytelling, and remarkable memory.

Jesse dedicated 31 years of his life to Yoder's, where he worked diligently as a die caster. His commitment to his career was matched only by his service in the U.S. Navy, reflecting his dedication to both work and country. Jesse's personality shone brightly through his interactions with those around him, always ready with a joke or a heartfelt story.

In his leisure time, Jesse found joy in many activities, including fishing, camping, deer hunting, and mushroom hunting. His adventurous spirit often took him to casinos or engaged him with scratch-off lottery tickets—activities that brought him much enjoyment. A devoted sports fan, he was also an avid supporter of the Cleveland Browns football team.

Jesse is survived by his loving sisters—Patty Ann Barnett, Diane Sue and her husband, Roger Holcomb, and Linda Kay Hoover—as well as his sister-in-law, Diana Jones. He cherished his nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will carry fond memories of him forward.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Louis Jones; his mother, Gladys Jones; brothers Terry Robert Jones and Steven Earl Jones; and brother-in-law Jerry Hoover.

In a testament to his generous spirit, Jesse chose to donate his corneas after his passing, a decision that will continue to impact the lives of others in the community. His memory will be honored and cherished by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 6-8pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 1pm at the funeral home. Jesse will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery.
