Jesse Jones

Jones, Jesse L., age 83 of Riverside, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was born April 26, 1924 in Franklin, OH, the son of Charles Franklin & Mable (Gross) Jones. He served in the US Army during WWII as a medic. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Jones; brother, Paul Jones; and sister, Mary Amburgey. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; children, Patty Barnett, Diane Holcomb, Linda Hoover, Steven Jones, Jesse Jones, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph, Charles & Harold; and sisters, Carrie & Laura Jane; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 23, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at Willow View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 PM.
