Jesse James Black Sr.

Jesse Black Sr. 78 was called home on July 24, 2013 at his home in Dayton, Ohio he was born on August 31, 1934 in Summerville, Pa. to Jesse Walter and Lula Black. Jesse grew up in Columbus, Ohio he graduated from Columbus East High School. After high school Jesse received a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He worked 20+ years as a factory worker and he then retired from Montgomery County. Jesse married Julia Mangrum in 1954 in Columbus, Ohio and they were married for 17 yrs. Then he married Patricia Defurr they were married for 7 yrs. Jesse enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling and entertainment. Jesse is survived by his children Twlanie Long (Michael), Tonnetta Heath, Tonya L. Black, Markus Black, Maurice Black ( Beth), Rhonda Bogan (Bobby), Jesse Black Jr. and sixteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Walter and Lula Black and sisters Elsie Drakes, Allean Kennley. Jesse Black wishes were to be cremated. His family and friends will gather at his home for repass on Saturday July 27, 2013.
