Jesse J. Brown

Jesse J. Brown "JB", age 81 of Dayton, passed away January 28, 2017. He was born November 15, 1935 in Monroe, LA to his late mother, Julia Pope and his late father, Johnny Brown.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Lillie Brown; daughter, Thalia Brown; son, Timothy (Michelle) Brown; grandchildren, Dejuan, Timothy II, Jasmine, Alleyah, Milan Brown and Karsten Ellis; great grandchildren, Dejuan Jr., Ian and Malachi; siblings, Pat, Donzell, Anthony, Phyllis and Barbara Pope; great neighbors and a host of family and friends.

Jesse served in the U.S. Army having earned a medal of good conduct. He worked and retired from General Motors for over 35 years of service. Jesse loved riding motorcycles, cars and most of all spending time with his family.

Family will receive friends from 9-10 AM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10 AM. Interment with military honors will immediately follow the service at Dayton National Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
